The Grün VPMC Pro SWIR is an advanced optical sorter for the plastics manufacturing and recycling industry. It combines tri-band SWIR and HR-RGB cameras to simultaneously detect polymer type and color variations in plastic flakes.

This technology allows for more precise separation of PET flakes from non-PET polymers, improving the purity of the recycled material and making it easier to reuse in new products.

Technical Specifications

Custom sorting solution for color and polymer detection in plastic flakes

System designed to classify plastic flakes according to their composition and color. It incorporates a high-capacity, double-layer vibratory feeder that distributes material evenly in a single layer, reducing overlap and increasing process accuracy.

The scan and control modules are hermetically sealed for high dust protection. In addition, the integrated dust control system helps maintain operational stability, performance consistency, and reduce downtime.

Its modular vertical frame design, available in 4, 6 and 8 channel configurations, allows the machine to be adapted to different production needs.

Superior Industrial Inspection System

The sorter incorporates a triple-band InGaAs-SWIR camera system, capable of identifying polymers such as PET, HDPE, PP, ABS, PC, PS or PMMA, among others, based on their molecular composition.

It also offers advanced capabilities to separate materials such as PETG, PPSU, and TRITAN from PET with high purity. To ensure stable operation in demanding environments, it integrates air cooling for the InGaAs sensor and halogen lighting system.

The system is completed with a high-resolution RGB camera and high-intensity LED lighting, which allows detecting contaminants and subtle differences in color, minimizing erroneous rejects.

High-performance ejection system

The ejection system is designed to deliver accuracy, speed, and efficiency in air consumption. It allows unwanted material to be removed reliably even in high-capacity sorting processes.

Its adjustable configurations allow you to work with common plastic flake sizes from 3 to 15 mm, adapting to different material flows.

15-inch industrial touchscreen for system control

The machine incorporates a 15-inch industrial touch screen with a multilingual HMI interface, designed to facilitate daily control of the equipment.

It allows you to quickly switch between product profiles and includes built-in remote support, with remote access and monitoring, performance data dashboard, expert online diagnostics, and interactive troubleshooting assistance.
