Artificial intelligence technology makes it possible to sort plastic bottles by color and polymer type in a single pass, transforming mixed streams into separated materials with high accuracy.

Grün HPB IA-SWIR Sorter is an advanced AI-powered sorting solution, designed for recycling plants, PET bottle lines and municipal waste treatment centers. Thanks to the combination of color detection and polymer analysis, it allows materials such as PET, HDPE, PP and other plastics to be automatically separated, reaching an accuracy of more than 99% and improving the efficiency of the recycling process.

Technical Specifications

Simultaneous detection using dual sensors

The machine integrates an InGaAs-SWIR camera system capable of identifying different types of polymers – PET, HDPE, PP, among others – based on their molecular composition.

In addition, it incorporates a high-resolution RGB camera to detect color differences in transparent, blue, green or contaminated bottles, facilitating a more accurate and homogeneous classification.

Artificial intelligence and deep learning

Its AI system allows it to automatically recognize and classify bottles, caps, labels and contaminants such as metal or silicone.

Self-learning technology makes it easy to adapt to new materials and complex patterns, such as bottles with printed labels, reflective surfaces, black plastics, or warped packaging.

High-performance rating by tape

The modular conveyor belt system offers a processing capacity of 2 to 6 tons per hour, adapting to different production volumes.

It has between 88 and 224 ejectors, with a response time equal to or less than 1 ms and an ejection accuracy of ±2 mm.

Its modular design, available in belt widths of 1200, 2000 and 2800 mm, provides flexibility to integrate into different plant configurations and sorting processes.
